No sorority owes a bid to any pnm. Period. Sorority recruitment is mutual selection with the balance of power as to which woman gets into which home in the hands of the sororities involved. Just because women here drop from rush due to a Tammy Top House not inviting them back does not mean those same women would stay in recruitment if a Marla Middle Group is added onto campus. Successful "matching" can and does occur without the pnm getting her first MRABA choice. And our recruitment quota numbers are steady, so no other group is currently needed according to panhel. The NPC (sorority umbrella group) is currently asking some campuses to change their recruitment parties from allowing pnms a maximum of 3 house pref invites down to 2 homes. This is because their research has indicated very few women join their third choice pref home. It will save some pnms the agony of being made to attend, and then MRABA listing and possibly being bid to, that 3rd group. It also saves sororities the time and expense of hosting a third pref party.
