As an incoming second year transfer, would it be a good idea to do informal or should I just wait for formal? I was thinking about doing informal so I could get involved with a sorority and find a community earlier but this makes me not so sure. I know a few girls in sororities at UVA but I haven't asked them about informal. Also, if I did informal and didn't get a bid or didn't find a place I liked, would I be able to do formal later or would I basically be blacklisted?
