from the alumni mag "With prohibition lifted and state-run Alcoholic Beverage Control stores opening in Charlottesville, the Honor Committee agreed in September not to investigate any case in which a student under 21 lied about his age to buy alcohol. That ruling was reversed in 1955 and reversed yet again in 1969. At present, the Honor Committee does not take an official stance on whether the use of fake IDs by underage students to obtain alcohol constitutes an Honor offense. Such instances are handled on a case-by-case basis. While the Committee may investigate the use of fake IDs, it is highly unlikely that any charges would be brought."
