It's tricky because the top tier sororitys don't do informal so girls who have dreams of being in a top tier but were dropped first year think they might have a chance by repeating formal. And they don't. For real. Waste of time and money. The sororitys who take second years during formal are the same ones who did informal with very few exceptions.
