Check out GreekChat.com forums. There is a lot of useful information about quotas, snap bids (used by a chapter who didn't get their full quota of bids through the formal rush/prefs/bid list process), & the recruitment process in general. You have to look thru the material, but there are some very knowledgeable Greek women online there who will de-mystify the process to those of you who aren't familiar with it. The National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) governs recruitment for member Greek organizations and establishes the ground rules in an effort to make the Greek experience positive. NPC has its roots in an 1891 convention in Boston with representatives from KAT, KKG, AP, DG, DDD, GPB, & PBP-those ladies wrestled with the same issues as today!
