My last one got deleted so I decided to repost it as close as possible since someone tried to redo what was already done ;-) Overall: APhi/AXO AZD/Chi-O KD/Phi Sig Pros, Cons, and Reputation of each: APhi: Pros: Recruit well, have a nice house, they do a lot of philanthropy and attend a lot as well, take good Instagrams, popular amongst guys/popular in general. Cons: A lot of people say they are very exclusive and to themselves, but others say they have a strong sisterhood. Definitely, see a lot of girls together so it's really up to you to decide. They cost the most to join. Reputation: In years past these girls have been known as the party girls, and they still are but they work on the poor reputation they get from nationals. A lot of people feel as if they're mean girls or only want a certain type of girl but APhi is not the only sorority on this campus that has a "type" so it's unfair to label them in particular that way. AXO: Pros: Recruit well, have a nice house, they do an okay amount of philanthropy, take good Instagrams, popular with a lot of the fraternities/well known, fairly cheap to join Cons: Same as above, a lot of people think they're very mean. They also were known this year to tell on another sorority for "hazing", so some think they're mean girls. Girls have come out and shared stories of bullying within the chapter, so many think they're "cliquey" within. Overall: AXO is an older established sorority at UNH who is definitely on the up and up. They are known to take the it girls and are APhi and AXO are the biggest competitors. Honestly, if you want to be in an "it" sorority join one of the two- they're very similar. AZD: Pros: Nice house, unique girls, put an emphasis on individuality and it seems a lot of the girls say that they "never thought they'd be in a sorority", strong sisterhood. Cons: They recruit okay, but they really only have a presence during recruitment and then in April during Autism Awareness Month which is their philanthropy. They recently had their entire executive board removed due to hazing allegations that were "founded", but in reality it was not hazing. Overall: AZD keeps to themselves but from the outside they appear to have a decent sisterhood, they also have a really beautiful house. They do well in recruitment, and are a pretty strong competitor for girls who don't want to fit into a certain stereotype or a "top" house. Chi-O: Pros: Highest GPA cut off (which can be good or bad), cheapest to join, unique group of girls, raise a ton of money for their philanthropy. Cons: Smallest house, keep to themselves Overall: Chi-O's are the girls you bring home to mom. They're involved in genuine ways and are very smart. They do really keep to themselves and you only see them during competitive philanthropies for sororities/fraternities, and their recruitment tactics are a little bit cliche- but it appears they come from their nationals. KD: Pros: Nice girls, unique, outgoing, philanthropic, their house is being redone Cons: A lot of people think they're awkward and weird. Their house is big but definitely needs to be redone even more than it has. Overall: KD has the largest variety of girls, some people make fun of them and others think that's the best part of KD. They do philanthropy sort of randomly. They don't really recruit well and generally end up having to do spring recruitment. Phi Sig in comments.
