There is absolutely no way to know the truth about the new member period of any sorority unless you are in it, so all the above posts are irrelevant. Other sororities spread rumors to incoming freshmen that SDT's hazing is by far the worst, when in reality knowing girls in almost every chapter I can say they have a very similar process to several other chapters. Girls drop for many reasons, "hazing" being only one of the many. However I would agree with the above comment that you shouldn't go into rush with specific views on each sorority, especially if you've gained those opinions from GreekRank. So much of what you read on this website is pure BS thrown around by girls from different chapters trying to make other chapters look bad. Do your research on the sorority's social media pages and then go through rush with an open mind. You will find the chapter that is right for you and no matter which one that is, the new member period will be worth it.
