You are correct ^^^^ NO chapter automatically bids every legacy that comes through recruitment. If chapters had to honor every legacy there would be no room for other new members and let's face it, not every legacy is a fit for her mom/sister/grandmother's sorority. What does differ is how many invitations legacies are given to recruitment events. Most chapters are required to extend one courtesy invitation after Open House rounds after that they can be released. Some chapters cut legacies after Open House, it just depends on the chapter.
