I wouldn't give any of that a second thought. I went to a formal last spring with a really beautiful/smart Junior girl from a lower house. Sounds like she was in the same boat as you are now, settling for a lower house, etc. She focused on her studies and ended up with tons of friends in her sorority and others. In the end, it's about the friends you make that will hopefully be life long.
