Sororities at KU are unfortunately very cliquey. I was out of state and thought I clicked really well with a few houses but apparently since I didn't know any of the girls I was cut. They honestly do not want anything to do with you unless you are from their high school or home town or good friends with them or someone they know well. Exactly what you just said happened, I got put in a middle house with a bunch of girls who were in the same boat as me. It really isn't all that bad. You get to make new friends, whereas if I had been put in a clique house I truly believe I would never be completely accepted and been pretty lonely. Although I love my house and all the girls, if you're not in certain houses you will always be on the outside as far as frats go. They won't do date parties with you and do not want to participate in HC or RCR with you. But you learn to deal, and realize a sorority is but a tiny bit of your life. It's four years, and when you graduate no one will care what house you were in.
