definitely consider the fact that the "top houses" are lots of girls from KC that have known each other for a while, but there are still a good amount of out of state girls in each house that are welcoming! also don't be let down if you're cut from the "top houses." it's all a system of where each house thinks you'll fit best. The house I ended up joining was definitely not one of my favorites, and not considered a "top house" but I ended up loving it! I made many friends just like me who had the same values and interests as me! During rush you don't really get a fit of what your pledge class will look like, which usually become your good friends! Definitely consider that! just trust the process because most people end up in the right spot even if they didn't think it was where they thought they'd be during recruitment!
