I did the exact same thing last year I dropped because I didn't have the houses I wanted left and I ended up not rushing informal and I couldn't be happier with my decision. All my best girl friends are in sororities so it definitely feels like I'm in one as well. And as date parties go I was invited to multiple different ones and have met so many amazing people. I didn't need a house to make friends or feel like I'm apart of that life. If you want to rush absolutely go for it but from a girl that was in the same boat as you last year I'm letting you know that I absolutely still love being a GDI.
