I feel like there's a lot of freshman on this website so I'm gonna set you guys straight so you don't have to come into tech with the wrong ideas about Greek life and what not. When I came in as a freshman, I went on this website a lot and believed everything on it. I thought if I wasn't in a "top tier" sorority I failed and no one would like me. Let me say that is 110% completely untrue and anything you read on this site is not going to give an accurate description of any of these organizations, just like reading a tabloid about celebrities. Everyone's going to have their own experiences and opinions but the important thing is that you make your time here unique to you and only you. When I went through recruitment, I went in with the completely wrong attitude and it was obvious to a lot of people. After being dropped by every house and not recieving a bid, I had to reconsider what I wanted out of my time here. I wanted friends who would be there for me forever no matter what and accepted me for me. I went through recruitment again, and this time I found my home. I found girls I love more than anything who love me for who I am, and I realized how much more important that was than a stupid tier ranking. They weren't the top sorority I wanted originally, but my house turned out to be everything i wanted and more. So my advice to all the freshman on here- get off this website and live through your own eyes. You only have a few years at this awesome school, make the best of it:)
