When you rank your houses after pref, you sign the bid card - the Membership Recruitment Acceptance Binding Agreement (MRABA). If you are matched with either your first or second house, that’s the bid you get. You wouldn’t get a snap bid if you already matched. If you reject the bid from your #2 house, the MRABA says that you have to wait a full year to go through Spring Formal Recruitment again. You would not be able to go through informal recruitment. If you don’t sign the MRABA, you are dropping out of recruitment. At that point you can go through informal recruitment or be eligible for a snap bid. Snap bids are rare. Not very many chapters do informal recruitment. My chapter has done it twice in 4 years and had 40 girls trying for 3 spots. If you only put one of your two houses on your bid card (suicide), you are ineligible for a bid through quota additions and snap bids. Talk to your Rho Gamma about all the possibilities and repercussions.
