In short: yes, it is too late. All panhellenic sororities are closed to bidding for the next few weeks while axo goes through recruitment. However, even after that, it is extrodinarily unlikely (keyword: EXTRODINARILY) that anyone will be giving out snap bids this fall. As the person above me said, your best bet is to wait for spring informal recruitment. However, that is done on an individual chapter basis, and not all chapters participate.
