Is Greek life at UConn amazing? No. But it is certainly better than being unaffiliated. Especially your first 2-2.5 years of college when you are under 21 since many of the bars are strict with fake IDs. In terms of parties, they are all mostly at off campus houses. People still have a good time going to them even though they aren’t in huge frat houses like many of the schools down south. The Greek housing at UConn is pretty cool in terms of getting to know people in other orgs. since all the houses are right next to each other. In terms of hazing and stuff like that, there are still pledge processes for every fraternity on campus with the exception of Sig Ep pretty much. The difficulty of the pledge process for the most part matches up with the reputation of the fraternity, the harder processes for the “better” fraternities.
