Four new/renewed sororities came to UConn in six years, and in the same time we lost three (now down to two, DG returned) other groups to suspension. That is a LOT of fluctuation in a very short time frame. It takes time, effort, and ability to make a new chapter work in the best of circumstances and AOPI will be short-changed of settling-in and recruitment strength time by campus allowance of DZ back this Fall (see DZ national website). IMO DZ and UConn should give AOPi another year of continued growth to strength. UConn should not allow five new/renewed chapters in seven years and should push a DZ colony to Fall 2018.
