Being a legacy does not guarantee you a bid to any house but it puts you ahead of non legacies in your chances of getting in. Most houses take legacies into stronger consideration.... And it typically won't hurt your chances of joining another if you don't want to join the house you are a legacy at. Also recruitment is an evening/night event this year I believe so it shouldn't conflict much. Hope that helps!
