sorry girls but not everyone can cob: If your student received an invitation to membership from any sorority that they ranked on their MRABA, then they are bound to that group for one calendar year, from Sept. 2023-Sept. 2024, regardless of whether they accept the bid or not. This means they are not eligible to participate in Continuous Open Bidding (COB) in fall 2023 or spring 2024. However, they are eligible to participate in recruitment again in the next primary recruitment period, fall 2024. If your student chose not to complete the MRABA and withdrew from recruitment, they are eligible to accept a bid for membership from any sororities participating in COB. While not guaranteed, a small number of sororities may be able to recruit a limited number of women through the COB process after primary recruitment.
