They are both considered "top tier," or highly competitive houses. You need to bring a lot to the table in terms of (a mix of) appearance, personality, grades, and activities. Back in my day, DG took many different kinds of girls, and Chi O had a definite "type." I have no idea if that's still the case. I would be interested to hear about that from current students. You should keep an open mind during recruitment because you might find that you match better with a different chapter. You'll get a feel for that as the week progresses.
