I get that there's a time period that is set for formal rush, but I want to reach out to fraternities that I'm interested in as soon as possible. I emailed one rush chair but haven't gotten a response yet, I assume because it's too early for them to be worrying about rush- I just want to be able to spend as much time meeting active brothers before I make a decision should I get a bid.
