Do not be hard on yourself about thinking that they liked you or what not. When I rushed Fall, I was dropped by a house I knew A LOT of people in and they were all pretty surprised when I told them I was dropped by their house. Of course it'll be a little awkward, but most of the members don't really know how girls are selected. How much your friends like you does not correlate on whether you get a bid or not. I ended up dropping rush due to financial reasons, but a lot of the girls in the system are incredibly nice and once you get past the initial awkwardness of admitting you were dropped from their house, are very welcoming. I've been able to go to invites, guest meals, study sessions, etc. with girls from all over :) I would suggest to leave all expectations behind, and give as many houses as you can a try. Remember, there are usually only 5-10 bids per house, so it'll be competitive, but it's worth it to just take an hour or two out of your day to meet some new people.
