I understand how difficult and disappointing it can be to feel like you don't fit in with your sorority. Everyone seems to have different experiences in Greek Life and some find that it doesn't align with their expectations or values. The fact that you've been purposely excluded by members of your sorority, lied to, and even targeted for expulsion is completely unacceptable and not at all what Greek Life is meant to be about. I highly encourage talking about this issue with your exec, PHC, or LEAD Berkeley if it is this severe. It's understandable that you're feeling extremely upset and disappointed, and questioning whether Greek Life is right for you at all, but maybe GreekRank isn't the best option to ask advice. Unfortunately, once initiated, it is not possible to join another sorority, and it's true that the system of recruitment and initiation can make it challenging to switch to a different organization. It's understandable that you're feeling frustrated with this limitation, but it's important to keep in mind that Greek Life is not meant for everyone, and that it's ultimately up to you to decide what is best for your well-being and happiness. As for the cost, it's true that Greek Life can be expensive and it's understandable that you're questioning whether or not it's worth it to continue to pay these costs while experiencing such negative treatment. It's important to weigh the costs and benefits, and decide whether the benefits outweigh the costs. It's possible that your experience may improve in the future. However, it's also important to consider that if you continue to experience negative treatment, and you don't feel that you're getting the value you want out of the experience, it may be best to step away from Greek Life altogether. It is also important to consider speaking with a counselor or advisor, to get a different perspective, and help you come to a decision. Overall, it's important to remember that you deserve to be treated with respect and kindness, and that it's ultimately up to you to decide what is best for your well-being and happiness. I apologize for the way you've been treated and hope that you're able to find a solution that works for you. I wish the best of luck to you and your decision.
