Question. I am a sister in Delta Sig that just got initiated, but I sort of regret not dropping. Given Delta Sig is NOT a formal panhellenic sorority, but just an NPC affiliate, am I allowed to drop out and re-rush next fall? Would my new chapter try and kick me out if its not against their rules specifically? If not, then how were the girl's of AOPi allowed to even "make" a new sorority given they all have NPC status? This seems really hypocritical. I'm not trying to diss my current chapter. Its great, just not for me, and I truly feel a more historically connected chapter with a larger alumni network would have been better for me. I know we have a lot of old AOPi local alumni who are very supportive, but I can't list AOPi on my resume, or use it to connect with sisters at other chapters. I was looking to join an organization for life, but this looks like it will only be 4 years+whatever time I spend with friends after.
