Given the cost of housing and the generally un-Greek atmosphere of Cal, it is very very unlikely another sorority would want to take the risk on starting a new chapter here. This sounds more like GPhi nationals stepping in to restructure the chapter, maybe quickly, maybe over several years. Chances are if they are closed, they will have first shot to come back on campus, as they own their house and have a huge number of alums in the Bay Area. I am sad for them, but hope they can get turned around.
