I'm really sorry you had this experience. Rejection is not fun but try not to take it personally. I don't think there's any question some houses prefer younger pledges. And more transparency and information would definitely be helpful. If you have some other transfer friends or PNMs in the same position, maybe you can try to pledge the same house. Then you would know you'd already have friends in your pledge class. You can still have a great Greek experience. Just decide whatever house you get into you're going to get involved and give it your best effort. You can also always get involved in Panhellenic or with your house's national.
