There is so much that is positive in our system overall that seems to be lost when looking at comments in isolation on this website. Yes, much of the commentary on this site holds some level of truth for the poster but these individuals comments make it rough for a new person to get a sense of the community and the greek experience. I'm a senior and I have hung with this system now for 3+ years. Some people in my house dropped as junior (mainly for financial reasons) but I am glad to have stayed. The sisterhood/friends, leadership opportunities, training experience, fun time, events etc. have all been something that I don't think I would have seen at Cal outside the greek system. In many ways I think some of the things I've experienced in my house will serve me long after I leave Cal and for this I am grateful. This might all sound a bit hokey but looking back on the experience (complete with ups and downs and a fair amount of drama) has totally been worth it. Would not have given this experience up for anything.
