@future. Very difficult question you are asking. It's something that probably should be debated and voted on by all members of all greek organizations and only after thoughtful discussion. I am not a member of AOII but am a member of a panhel organization. I have to say that watching what happened to the sisters of AOII was something that I don't think any member of ANY panhel organization should have to go through. As an outsider there was something about the entire way the local was threatened and treated that seemed highly unprofessional, deeply disrespectful of the history of the local chapter and disrespectful to Cal. I can't say I've ever read about the history of AOII and its rituals but I don't believe the national seemed to treat the local in a way consistent with its values. I'd be curious to see the pro and con arguments for readmission of AOII and I would try to listen with an open mind. But I have to say that I've seen other nationals (3D, KKG and Theta) in action on very very difficult issues with locals and I can say that I never once doubted the professionalism, integrity and motives from any of those organizations in the way that I have severe doubts about the integrity and professionalism of the AOII national group. I don't see why we would want to admit back an NPC organization that showed us who they were in terms of how they behaved and was found wanting on many fronts. Based on the behavior/legal history I think we can do better with another NPC.
