I understand your point about the underlying facts of the two situations being totally different. BUT, if you look at the pattern of behavior of AOPi national over the years through many tricky and questionable legal situations a pattern of suspect behavior emerges. If you read some of the local Boston news accounts of the Tufts situation you will see the total frustration of the chapter leadership in dealing with their national and how the national simply was stalling and hoping for the PNM to leave or the situation to somehow disappear. Character issues are sometimes tough to quantify until all the dust settles on a story. But of all the National Panhel members I would be hard pressed to find a shadier group of individuals than those that run AOPi national. Just my opinion. I am a member of another house and we had a tricky/sticky situation with out national. But the national came and addressed us as a house and even when we didn't agree with them we were treated with total respect and courtesy. I am not sure the same can be said of sisters of AOPi that run afoul of their national. If you are interested check out the games that AOPi national played with the poor ladies at their Minnesota chapter! The AOPi leadership is sadly all about money and not morals. I am glad the national is no longer at Cal even though I am heartsick about what happened to the local. It seems the local had a good support network to guide them through the process.
