As someone else on these board posts said, the AOII at Tufts is different than the AOII at Berkeley. Tufts had to wait because the nation all-sorority org NPC has responsibilities according to Title Nine, and none of the sororities knew if having a trans join was legal according to Title Nine (they can join, they found out, and Tufts pledged the trans who later dropped out at her own choice). Equating the two AOII situations only fits at the point of both campuses having an AOII chapter, although Berkeley's AOII is now inactive. Each campus situation was otherwise unique.
