I agree to an extent, however I would say don't keep rushing in the hopes of getting into your one specific "dream house" though. Come in with an open mind and actually meet the women of each house you're interested in. If you only get one bid, why not give it a try? If you really don't like it, leave before initiation. I joined a "low tier" house during Spring and I love it here. I was super unsure at first because of what I read on this website (in fact I almost declined my bid). I'm so glad that I didn't though. I would have missed out on such amazing sisters and a great experience. I have never not been able to find a party to go to if I wanted to, and when I want to stay in I have 100+ people to hit up to watch movies and order takeout with me. Funny story though, every year during FFR there is at least one woman who has gone through recruitment and declined her bid with us. This year there was someone who had gone through two different FFR (and I don't know how many Spring COB events). She was on her third FFR as a junior and she had declined a bid with us twice. We released her immediately, and I hope she ended up somewhere that she could be happy. But don't be that person. If you want to go Greek and get offered a bid somewhere, give it a go. Don't waste two years when you could be in a sorority, going through recruitment over and over because it's not your "top choice".
