It doesn't work like this. Panhellenic gives you a number to release every day, and you have to follow it. A chapter cannot "voluntarily" take a smaller pledge class. They have to list every woman they invited to pref, Panhellenic matches up the numbers as best they can. We have ZERO control, top house or bottom, on the number of women we have to release or the size of the pledge class. We hand our lists in to Panhel ranked #1 on down of every woman who was at pref, and Panhel gives us a pledge class based on that list and the PNM preferences. Women always drop. That is nothing new. Many of those came in wanting 2-3 houses only, and when they got released by those houses, they drop. They weren't looking for a real fit or sisterhood. Don't feel too sorry for them.
