Hi! thanks for deciding to rush this year! ok so every week fraternities throw parties in their houses, Taco Tuesdays at Remy's is a must, Wine Wednesdays at housing are fun, and then Fridays and Saturdays something is always going on. Sororities tend to throw an invite (less formal, usually themed and you can bring a date and frats are given bids to come) and a date party (bring a date, more formal) once every semester (so four formals every year). Fraternities throw formal date parties once a semester, (so two a year) and girls go as dates. I dated a fraternity president my first year (still going strong even though he graduated!) and so I attended his frat's two date parties, and he came to three out of my four formals (one was one an important brotherhood event idk). It's fun to get set up if you don't have a date (frats sign up to get set up), and the frequency of formal events are pretty good! Go bears, go greek!
