I actually know a lot of girls who were preffed at better houses but decided to go w/ middle tier or bottom tier. If you're hot, you're hot, it doesn't really matter what house you're in, you can still get into parties...the only thing that will be different are exchanges, which only freshman really go to anyway...SO, pick the house you actually like, not just based on reputation. After college no one will care.
