It's more cuz you're comfortable enough to meet people you know are gonna act and think the way the people you hang out with do. I mean am I gonna hang out with some guy from some shady frat I'm not familiar with and don't wanna take the risk of learning about if things turn out crappy? Ofc not. It's not like they're meant for each other but it's just like you'd rather be comfortable with a sorority or fraternity that's familiar. Sure getting to meet new people is cool but if they're not like what you're used to, that can ruin the fun. SAE is also more open than most people give them credit for tbh. I love their parties too.
