Hey so it’s kinda long to explain but I’ll try to answer all your questions. For reference I’m in a sorority and I rushed last year. So basically there’s 4 days of rush, you start by visiting all 6 sororities in day one and go to fewer each day until you end up with 1-2 on pref night. Then you choose which you want and sororities make their lists, and you find out which one you got on bid day. Some people get their top choice, others don’t, but really you can make friends and have a good experience anywhere. When it comes to the days in between it’s basically the same, you choose where you want to go back and we choose who to invite back. You can go back to a maximum number of parties, which gets lower each day until pref. However, if you didn’t get invited back to all the sororities you wanted and one you dropped invited you back you do have to see them again. Will you get a bid? Probably, there’s 6 sororities And each can take 1/6 of the girls who go to pref night, so the numbers usually work out so most girls get bids. A lot of early cuts are made from all sororities for grades or behavioral issues, but if you don’t have that issue you should be fine. How do they decide in a week? Honestly it sucks because we don’t get to know everyone as well as we’d like to, but with 600+ girls going through recruitment I guess that’s just the way panhell decided was most fair to us and you. Do we miss good rushes by accident? Not to scare you , but yes. Most girls would fit into at least 3 sororities here, and sometimes girls get dropped by sororities they would have been great in. Pnms also drop chapters they might fit into also. It boils down to numbers and first impressions, and sometimes girls get invited back over girls who might fit in better just because a rusher or rushee has a bad day. Don’t worry about that though, all the sororities are good and diverse because it’s Miami so if you go through rush and don’t stress you’ll probably end up happy
