I think it's because our greek orgs are more of country clubs than a state-school style frat/sorority. Most of the events are at spots like Miami clubs or some off-campus house or some boat/beach. Our greek life's definitely less of an overall campus influence than at bigger SEC/ACC state schools, but then again it's Miami so there's tons of options for having fun. tl;dr, it's just more independent and laid back.
