the Process for adding sororities is probably longer, and remember until last year there was 8 not 6 so it takes a little to get the ball rolling. Sororities are also bigger than frats (usually like 200-230 sisters while most frats have like 100 guys at most) so it’s not unusual for schools to have many more frats. Besides, kappa closed because they couldn’t make numbers and chi o struggled with recruitment for years after they colonized despite having really strong nationals, which shows that new sororities aren’t really welcome here. The demand for Greek life isn’t going up, the demand for “top sororities” is and that will never be met because if everyone is at the top no one is and people care way too much about that. I know plenty of girls who still had some combination of adpi, chi o, and Tri Delt maybe even zeta back for recruitment and dropped because they only wanted to be in the top two
