If you want to lose weight do it for yourself not them, promise you'll feel better all around if you do! To answer your questions the "top" sororities might care but from the looks of instagram the rest really don't; either way good luck! You have a year until recruitment so plenty of time, most important thing is to drink water, eat healthy, and exercise! Counting calories also works really well if you can do it without getting an eating disorder, plenty of apps for that as well.
