No because each chapter has a certain amount of freshmen and upperclassmen that they’re required to take in their pledge class. They obviously take less upperclassmen than they do freshmen but that’s also because a lot less older people go through recruitment than freshmen. Some chapters are iffy about taking juniors and seniors since they don’t have as much time left but it is very common for people to go through rush as sophomores and chapters are open to it.
