You honestly have no clue how SigEps process works if you really think they're the same as SAE. It takes you 3 quarters at least to wear chapter letters, wearing SigEps merch doesnt count. Just because you're not called a "pledge" doesn't mean there's no process. SAE is basically a social club based on the fact that you have to get initiated within 96 hours of accepting your bid. It takes you 3 quarters minimum to become a full member of SigEp.
