"Joining the UCR Fraternity and Sorority community will provide you with the opportunity to meet many wonderful people and become involved on campus and throughout the community. The mission of the Fraternity and Sorority Involvement Center (FSIC) at the University of California, Riverside is to challenge and support students as they conduct themselves in a manner that reflects the values of their fraternal organizations. While recognizing the diverse set of members and councils in the UCR Fraternity and Sorority community, our councils come together around four core values: Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Friendship. The FSIC seeks to improve the campus climate through education and civic engagement while creating strong friendships that will last a lifetime." <---If you are not trying to better this community, if you are cyberbullying, if you are spreading rumors and backstabbing, if you are making Greek Life look bad in class, if you are shining a negative light in any way on this community... then you do not belong here and you do not deserve to wear your letters. Challenging others isn't synonymous with tearing others down. If you aren't focused on bettering yourself academically, personally, and socially, then why are you here? Why do you want to stay in your chapter? This isn't about Greek Unity, this is just basic principle. Why do you feel like you deserve to wear your letters? Are you proud to wear them while talking about others behind their back, and bashing other chapters to make yours look better?
