Well I don't know the rules of all the sororities, but I belong to one of the considered as a "top house," it's up to you who you think they are and we take the GPA minimum requirement very seriously and cut off the ones who don't make them early in the process. I would guess some houses are more lax if you're just under the minimum and would make an exception? Just go through recruitment and see if you think it's really for you and if you really want to join a certain house, but they didn't give you a bid because of your GPA, you can always raise it and try again next year.
