I've been through recruitment on all sides. As a PNM, as a sister and as a Pi Chi. I would really not stress about recs. They're NOT that important. Are they helpful? Somewhat. Bottom line-if you project yourself well, are yourself, polite and enthusiastic, and have good grades-it will all work out. If a sorority wants you-they'll make it happen. As far as fb? I imagine here and there people are looking but I don't think any sorority has time to check out the page of every pnm. If you have stuff on your fb page that you'd be embarressed for a sorority member to see-probably shouldn't be on the internet anyways. NO profile is truly private.
