This could be difficult since the girl you speak of has not made any overtures to talk to you or "catch up" with you and yet, your parents are good friends. I think the girl's parents (if they have not mentioned anything to your parents about their daughter wanting to get to know you better) are the best indicator of this. The girl is NOT interested in you as a friend or as a sorority sister. Now, if you know any other girls who are in a sorority (or that same sorority the girl is in), or who have acted as if they are interested in you, then those are the girls who could benefit you in getting a bid.
