If you have not really talked to this girl in years, even though your parents are friends, and the girl knows you are going through rush at AU, but she has NOT made any type of gesture to meet with you or get to know you better...then you are probably not on this girls radar to get you in her group. If her parents have not requested information from your parents, then that is just a kind no, rather than then just telling your parents, nope, not interested. There are plenty of sororities on campus that you will probably get a bid to, best to keep your eyes open and try to meet other girls who might be interested in you.
