If you’re thinking about joining a sorority at Auburn it’s going to be a super stressful and important decision that will impact your college experience. Some of you will have full schedules with makeup artists for rush and others will come in knowing no one maybe getting just a select few back with no preconceived notions. Both of those are alright. The best part about being in a sorority at auburn is you will find your place. Every single sorority has drop dead gorgeous girls, die hard philanthropists, 4.0 GPA enthusiasts. That being said every sorority will most likely also have your partiers who think of philanthropy as an Instagram reel opportunity. Please trust the process and leave the cruel comments behind. It’s clear the overall vibe of every sorority based on their instagrams. That will tell you a lot of what you’re looking for and for every single person that’s going to be different so my advice is to go do some “research” on your own to find where you think you’d have the most in common . I have met the kindest and most beautiful girls you can imagine in every sorority from my “top tier” to “bottom tier”. Four years from now the sorority will be nothing but a linkdln add on and all you have left is the memories, so make them good; ignore the girls who make you feel lesser than you deserve and let everything else fall in place. I came in from very far away terrified and ended up with girls I never could’ve dreamed that I’d meet but somehow it all worked out that we chose the same school and the same sorority. It is not the end of the world if you decide to withdraw from the process or wake up one morning with no houses on your schedule. COB opportunities will come for a wide range of sororities and you will be alright. The best part about Auburn is the auburn family and the experience and all it has to offer is yours for the taking. It’s about what you make of it and not what others have to say. I hope every single one of you knows how valued life is and if I’ve learned anything it’s that life is short and you’re not going to be friends with everyone but you can however be kind to everyone.
