Also, get to know your new sisters. I am sure there are plenty of girls who were Miss Whatever, Homecoming Queen, SGA president, valdictorian, captain of their athletic team, cheerleader, etc. in high school. There are plenty of girls in 'top tier' sororities who aren't nearly as accomplished, but went to high school in Birmingham or wherever and had connections. That attitude isn't going to change, but you don't have to listen to it.
