Tuscaloosa is the fifth biggest city in AL (so there are actual things to do and countless bars to frequent), 77th in the nation while AU is 89th, and the greek system at UA is incredibly huge and pretty much makes all of the student decisions (SGA, homecoming queen, etc.). Yeah, some houses got into trouble for hazing pledges, but that didn't change the fact that they could still throw huge ragers. All the fraternities are allowed to pretty much do whatever they want
