Hey! I wouldn’t say that being far OOS or OOS is a disadvantage. It’s more that being in state or having lots of connections to auburn sororities/being friends with older girls is an advantage to some girls. Girls from Alabama have older girls that can vouch for their reputation and personality which can be helpful during recruitment. It can also hurt girls who have a questionable rep or were mean in high school. No sorority will just drop a girl based off of her zip code/hometown, so don’t worry! You have the advantage of going to college with a clean slate and won’t be judging sororities just based off of older girls from your high school. Don’t go in discouraged, because as long as your GPA is strong, and you present yourself well, you will definitely find a home in one of the houses! Just make sure to get your Recs in
